Basin Creek North & Conglamorate Rock
Brrrrr. Fishing in a blizzard! It was very cold and wet, but I fished from about 1:30 until 5 at Basin Creek and Conglamorate Rock. I fished at the spot on the east bank where I caught the brown a few posts down. It's about 15-20 feet downriver from the juniper tree (you'll see it) I caught several pretty but small rainbows, in the 10-14" range. I went downriver and fished the first two structures I came to with no strikes. I used size 24 midges, cream color, they worked great. I used a pink and then cream colored egg on top. I caught one more smaller rainbow on the west side of the same area when I was leaving. At Conglamorate Rock, I didn't see my indicator move and it was really really cold.
