Nice day to be on the river...
Chad and I both lost nice ones today, but it didn't take away from what was a gorgeous day on the water. The wind was ridiculous and sure that makes casting tough, but with a little water weighting and a little patience it's not so bad. The water was off color quite a bit with just a few feet of visibility at best. According to the reading on Fly Fish The San Juans' website, the Animas is flowing at a little over 200cfs. Lightner creek seems to be chubbin some mud. The fishing wasn't lights out for me today but any action is better than no action, right?
